"Psalm 92: Worship"

“It is good to give thanks to the Lord... The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree...” (v1, v12 excerpts) This is a painting about worship: the utter abandonment of self in praise of the Lord. Floods of the Spirit, the oil of His presence, the angelic hosts and the Son/Sun of God are all represented. For this piece I actually brought in two assistants; the twin daughters of some really close family friends. They stood right up on stage with me and painted a good amount of what you see, specifically the water. They are both beautiful girls and this painting is blessed by their involvement.
