"Outpouring I"

It was a freezing cold day on the Washington Mall. I’d spent most of my day helping out as we set up the tent for the first event of the Fulfillment Fest Freedom Tour 2009. The cold day faded into an icy evening and even my thick coat was inadequate. I paint on a worship team, which means that I paint while they play. Their set was last that night and the light was fading even as I set up my easel. The biggest struggle was the cold. I’d had to shed my coat to allow mobility of my hands and arms- my only defense against the cold was a thin sweatshirt and the good will of a kind older woman who rubbed my hands when they grew stiff from cold. Regardless of physical difficulties I knew what the Lord had for me to paint and I enjoyed the process mightily. Not to mention that it makes for a good story! Represented are: The Trinity with the Holy Spirit pouring down over the Church/ Bride which is shown as a tree, the city of Washington DC which is the center of our nation, and the revelation of the Lord’s heart (the blue background). The heart in the tree speaks of the one heart of the church- His heart.
